IEEE C37 Synchrophasors Synchronization NTP PTP IEEE 1588

Synchrophasors PMU (Phasor Measurement Unit) requires better than a microsecond accuracy of synchronization to keep robust power distribution management. The 1µs accuracy of synchronization is necessary to manage phase angle measurement and it is executed using networking PMU devices determined in standard IEEE C37.118.1 This enforce from PTP/IEEE1588 Grand Masters Clock to ensure synchronization accuracy to be much better than 200 nanoseconds on each server LAN output.
